A Letter to a Father about Blessing the Lord

 As I write this letter to you, there is this song that I can’t get out of my head. I’ve been singing this song for at least a week or close to it. The song is from the book of Psalm, chapter 103. “Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.”

I believe this is what God wants from his people at this moment, and what I mean when I say from his people, I am referring to the people that have been seeking the ways of God and Gods’ heart. The people living according to God’s laws and ways and doing the things God has asked them to do. The blessings of the Lord are here, and so is the judgment of God, but right now, the Father wants you to praise him. God wants us to bless him. It’s as if when you do this, refreshing will come. God wants you to know that he is proud of you for seeking him and not man. God is proud of you for coming to him when you have done wrong with a pure heart and wants you to keep coming to him. God has this immense love for you, and he wants you to praise him because he has already done great things, and I’m not talking about the things in the past; I’m talking about what’s coming, the future things they are already done. Your provision, jobs, houses, cars, marriages, spiritual clarity, insight, wisdom, understanding, revelation, increase, and your enemies are defeated. Just praise him. You SHALL see it with your very own eyes. Please read Psalm 103 and meditate on the word and ask God to reveal himself to you.

Prayer,

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior, we say thank you for your many blessings. God, we thank you for your son Jesus Christ dying for our sins. God forgive us for anything that we have done wrong, said wrong, and believed wrong. God, it is written that if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us AND cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and we receive your forgiveness, God, and we thank you for cleaning us from ALL unrighteousness. God, it is written that you are a rewarder to those who diligently seek you, so we are believing and agreeing with your word that you reward us. God, it is also written that the blessings of the Lord make rich and adds no sorrow; therefore, we agree with your word and are in expectation of it. It is written, and we decree and declare that your word will not return to you void, but it will accomplish the very thing you have sent it out to do. God, we know and believe and stand in the expectation that you are displaying your manifold wisdom through us to the principalities of the air. The blood of Jesus against any diabolic assignment of the enemy may be violently disgraced and brought down by the Fire of God and roast to ashes and the blood of Jesus against them forever. We shall have whatever you say unhindered and unchecked by any satanic or evil force because we decree and declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against us, we condemn in the mighty name of Jesus. God dispatch your warring angels to annihilate the enemy’s work in every area of our lives in the physical realm and spiritual realm. Father God, rain down your fire and stone and dismantle the plans, plots., scheme, altars, sanctuaries, gatherings, and anything in the elements or creatures of the earth that are fashioned against us. May your fiery arrows hit the bull’s eye target every time against anything coming against us in the mighty name of Jesus, and there shall be no retaliation. God, we are praying from our heavenly seat next to Jesus Christ. For those who are unrepentant who love cursing Father, your word says those who love cursing shall eat the fruit thereof and let blessings be far from them. God, we agree with your word, and we believe what we have prayed, so therefore it is so. Cover our family and us with your blood in every area of our lives, both physical and spiritual. If anyone is accusing us in the courts of heaven, we throw ourselves at the mercy seat and plead the blood of Jesus and let the blood of Jesus speak for us because we know that our Lord and Savior is at the right of the Father, pleading our case. We say thank you for pleading our case; we love you in Jesus’ name, amen.

Psalm 103

 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

16 For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

17 But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children’s children;

18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.

19 The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.

20 Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.

21 Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.

22 Bless the Lord, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the Lord, O my soul.
