A Letter to a Father about your True Identity

The letter that I am currently writing fills me with such joy, power, and love. It is my prayer that at the end of this letter, you will walk in the dominion and authority that God has already given you. The revelation that I have received from spending time reading the bible and just asking God to show me my identity in Christ Jesus. The answer that I received blew my mind away, and I know I am, and you will be forever changed. What is the answer that I received? The answer I received is located in Colossians chapter 2, verses 9-10.

9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

After reading verses 9 and 10, I knew I would never be the same. In verses 9 and 10, it is saying that because you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have Christ dwelling on the inside of you. In Christ, Jesus dwells all the fullness of God, who is now living inside of you because you accepted him. I pray that you catch the revelation of what I just said. Another thing because you have accepted Christ, who has the fullness of God dwelling in him verse 10, says that you are complete in Christ, which is the head of all principality and power. I am writing this letter to you because you must know your true identity in Christ. I thank God for sending his son Jesus to die for our sins.

I want you to know that no principality or power has rulership over you. No principality or power has rulership over you because you are no longer yourself; you are in Christ Jesus so that nothing can overtake you. You have ALL power in Christ Jesus.

Allow me to go deeper In Ephesians chapter 1 verses 19-23 in reads:

19 I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe himThis is the same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. 21 Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. 22 God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself. (NLT)

In Ephesians Chapter 1, verses 19-23 reveals to us the Great power that we have as believers. It informs us again that all authority and power in under the rulership of Christ, so if we are in Christ, all authority and power are under you. If the verses I just shared with you aren’t enough, I will share more insight.

In Ephesians chapter 2 verses 4-7, we also discover that we have been raised together with Christ and seated with Christ in heavenly places.

4 But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, 5 that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) 6 For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. 7 So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. (NLT)

My point to you is this the enemy doesn’t want you to know your place, power, position, authority, and dominion that you have in Christ. I am here to tell you the moment you received Christ, all of this is granted unto you.

No more mind games. Today I want you to know that you have Christ’s mind, and God has not given us the spirit of fear but of love, joy, power, and a sound mind.

The next time your mind starts to think wrong thoughts or things that are not true, I want you to meditate on the scriptures from this letter and ask God to show you what is true because you refuse to believe the lies.

As a parent, you must know your identity in Christ Jesus to teach your children about their identity in Christ.

As I close this letter, I am going to give you a couple of scriptures for you to meditate on and as you meditate on these scriptures, I pray that God will reveal to you, your True Identity in Christ because it is time to know him and not just know of him.

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. 2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. 3 For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 And when Christ, who is your[a] life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. Colossians 3:1-4 (NLT)

20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. [e] It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So, I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 (NLT)

Prayer,

Father God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, my Lord, and Savior. I come boldly before your throne, and I want to Thank you for revealing our identity in Christ Jesus. Father, we have accepted your son, and because we have Christ Jesus dwelling on the inside of us, we know that you are dwelling in us as well, and we say thank you. God, I ask you to manifest yourself through us. God, we know that you have prepared us for good works, and we want to do the good works that you have created us to do before the foundations of the world. God, we understand that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus far above ALL principalities and powers, and nothing shall hurt us. Father God, we trust you and believe you and take you at your word. God, we know that you wish to be kind to us and reveal yourself to us. God, we welcome you. Keep revealing yourself to us, God. Because God, the more you reveal to us, the stronger our faith becomes. God, we no longer want to live in the ignorance of not knowing our true identity, so we are asking you to reveal it even the more. God, we know that because we had believed even before I began this prayer that whatsoever we ask in your name, we shall have it so by faith we receive it, and it shall manifest in our natural lives. Amen.
