As I write this letter to you, I come with a heart of thankfulness. I have this immense gratitude for Father God. I know you may be reading this and thinking we all thank God and are grateful. Yes, gratitude to God is something people have, but when you receive revelation from God, it is like you very soul is set ablaze, and you are burning with even more love of the Father. The revelation that I received from God is this. We are being transformed into the image of the Lord. Every time we read the bible and accept what is written and apply it, transformation happens. I know that it is simple, but I am going to explain this further.
In the book of John chapter 1 verses 1-5, it reads: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
In John chapter 1 verses 1-5, it is stating that in the beginning was the Word and who is the Word? The Word is Christ. Also, the verses are informing us that Christ was with God and is God. Also, in Christ, there is light. Now that you can see that Christ is the Word, and Christ is light, allow me to give some more verses.
John 12:44-50 it reads: “44 But Jesus loudly declared, The one who believes in Me does not [only] believe in and trust in and rely on Me, but [in believing in Me he believes] in Him Who sent Me. 45 And whoever sees Me sees Him Who sent Me. 46 I have come as a Light into the world, so that whoever believes in Me [whoever cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] may not continue to live in darkness. 47 If anyone hears My teachings and fails to observe them [does not keep them, but disregards them], it is not I who judges him. For I have not come to judge and to condemn and to pass sentence and to inflict penalty on the world, but to save the world. 48 Anyone who rejects Me and persistently sets Me at naught, refusing to accept My teachings, has his judge [however]; for the [very] message that I have spoken will itself judge and convict him at the last day. 49 This is because I have never spoken on My own authority or of My own accord or as self-appointed, but the Father Who sent Me has Himself given Me orders [concerning] what to say and what to tell. 50 And I know that His commandment is (means) eternal life. So, whatever I speak, I am saying [exactly] what My Father has told Me to say and in accordance with His instructions.” (AMP Classic Edition) Jesus Christ was telling the people that hey if you believe what I am telling you, you are believing God the Father. Also, Jesus is saying because you believe in my Father (God), you will no longer be in darkness. Jesus even informs us of how powerful the Word is, being that Jesus states that I don’t judge you the WORD itself that he has spoken judges you. Also, Jesus Christ is saying every Word that I have spoken is not from me but from my Father (God) who sent me.
What I want you to see is this the Word of God is powerful. If you never understand anything that I have ever written, I am pleading with you to pick up the bible, phone, computer, or whatever it is that you use and read the bible. If you are not still convinced, I will give more scriptures from the bible that can help you understand the magnitude of reading the Word of God. In Psalm 138:2 “I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name for Your loving-kindness and for Your truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your word and You have magnified Your word above all Your name!” In Psalm 138:2 first, it is a Psalm of David. Secondly, what David is saying is that God made good on his promise, and thirdly God holds his WORD in more esteem than his name. If you are reading this, you should get very excited because this teaches us that If God has ever spoken a word through reading the bible, prophetic Word, or whatever the case may be, If God said it, then he will perform the very thing that he said. There is a scripture for what I have just stated in the previous sentence. So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.-Isaiah 55:11 (AMP Classic Edition)
Now that you see how powerful the Word of God is, I want to bring it all together and lead you to the founding verses of Letters to our Fathers. I must say when I was led to the scriptures to have as my founding verses, I had no idea of the revelation that God was going to give me. Also, to be completely transparent, I didn’t know how much these verses were changing my life as I continued to write letters to you.
2 Corinthians chapter 3:1-3 Are we starting to commend ourselves again? Or we do not, like some [false teachers], need written credentials or letters of recommendation to you or from you, [do we]? 2 [No] you yourselves are our letter of recommendation (our credentials), written in [a]your hearts, to be known (perceived, recognized) and read by everybody. 3 You show and make obvious that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, not written with ink but with [the] Spirit of [the] living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
There is one principal thing that you must know, and that is you are being transformed into the image of the Lord. How are you being transformed into the image of the Lord? Every time you read the Word of God and accept it, receive it and do what it says. When you read the Word of God and make a choice to live it, you become the living letter not written with ink on tablets, but your life will show the transformative work of God. Not only that, but your light will shine bright and will draw others to you, and you will lead them to Christ. Your life becomes the testimony, and you will not have to say one Word because people will visually see your life in God.
I have to give you these last few verses to confirm what I have written to you. Also, in 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 verses 16-18; 16 But whenever a person turns [in repentance] to the Lord, the veil is stripped off and taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (emancipation from bondage, freedom). 18 And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.
The veil that is referred to in 2 Corinthians 3:16 is the veil that Moses would wear to protect the Israelite’s from God’s reflected glory. (Exodus 34:29-35)
I want you to see and understand this: 2 Corinthians Chapter 3 verses 17-18 says that every time you read the Word (the bible), you are partaking in God’s glory and are being transformed. You are beholding the face of God every time you read the Word of God.
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, I thank you for this beautiful revelation that you have given me. God, I pray that every reader understands the magnitude of your Word. God, it is written in your Word that if we meditate on your word day and night, we will make our way prosperous and have good success. Father, may we meditate on your word day and night and make our way prosperous and have good success. It is also written in your Word that if we keep our minds on you, you will keep us in perfect peace. Father, we receive the perfect peace from you, and we take it by faith. It is written that if we believe that we have already received what we are praying for, then we shall have it. Father, I believe that everything I have written is already mine, and I take it by faith in Jesus’ name. It is written that man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. God, we believe and receive it and ask for more revelation, wisdom, and knowledge from the Word that proceeds out of your mouth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
