The Letter that I am writing today is the most important letter that I will ever write in my entire life. Why is this the most crucial letter? Is it an essential letter because this letter holds truth’s that you should know as a believer or future believer? No, this is not your typical Salvation Letter. No, I will consider this an informative letter about the truth of what happens in Salvation and the Characteristics of God that you must know to receive what he HAS (past tense) freely given you.
The revelation that I am about to share with you came from me spending time reading the bible and studying the Scripture. When this revelation hit me, tears flowed, and I begin to Thank God for his love for me, and it was as though I was consumed with this revelation. The book that I was reading in the bible is the book of Ephesians.
In Ephesians chapter 2 verses 1-7 it reads, And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
Now I’m going to break down verses 1 through7 in hopes that you will understand the revelation just as I did.
Ephesians 2 verse 1: And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins.
Ephesians 2 verse 1 is saying, and you hath he qualified to be made alive together with Christ, who was lifeless or deviation of truth. This verse is saying you didn’t know the way of the Kingdom of God. You didn’t know the Laws and Principles of the Kingdom of Heaven. This verse reminds me of Hosea 4:6. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
Sin is a sin because it wasn’t the way God intended for you to operate. Sin is a sin because it’s not the Laws of God. We’ve been conditioned to believe a particular thing or act a certain way, the “socially accepted way,” but there is a better way a higher way, and that was in the Kingdom of God’s way.
Ephesians 2 verse 2: Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.
In verse 2, it is saying that we conducted ourselves to the world systems way of life under the influence of the enemy who NOW works in those who refuse or rejects what God prefers.
Ephesians 2 verse 3: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
In verse 3, it is reminding us that yes, you have received salvation now, but let us not forget that we’ve all conducted ourselves in this manner, fulfilling our impulses, desires of the body, human nature, and mundane things. When I read this verse and researched more about this particular verse, I had a better understanding of things. That understanding is that things birth out of our selfish desires, reasoning, or intellect, and not seeking God first or God’s views, we will produce inherent impulsive like behavior or behaviors we don’t desire.
Ephesians 2 verses 4-5: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
I have to tell you this after I read verses 4-5 of Ephesians; my heart couldn’t contain this love tears flowed from my eyes, and even right now, they are coming to my eyes because I realized Gods love is so BIG and so WIDE that it can’t be contained.
In Ephesians 2 verses 4-5, it is telling us, But God, who is wealthy (a vast abundance) in mercy (compassion), loved us from the place of his aggressive perfect love, even When we didn’t know the Kingdom of God ways of doing things, even when we were operating from the position of our intellect, reasoning, and impulses.
Now Ephesians 2 verses 6-7: And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
In verses 5,6 and 7, you must know that it was written using past tense verb formed. The fact that it is written in past tense alone makes me so happy. In verse 5, we are informed that we have been made alive together with Christ (Hath quickened us together). In verse 6, we are told that He raised us together and seated us together.
Verses 5, 6, and 7 is the truth of salvation. I want you to know and understand this revelation. The revelation that when you confess (Agree with God about our sinful ways) your sins to God and believe that God sent his son Jesus Christ to die for your sins and believe (Have faith) that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, you shall be saved. The very moment you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you have what Ephesians 2 verses 5,6, and 7 stated. You’ve been made alive together with Jesus Christ, you’ve been raised together with Jesus Christ, and You’ve been seated with Jesus Christ in Heaven. That is your place forever in the spirit realm.
Another thing I want you to understand is that the things that we all face in the world, even the COVID-19, sometimes make us feel (senses not faith) as though this isn’t true, but I’m telling you this is our TRUE place. Your spiritual life is not determined by your physical life. It’s the other way around. I want you to get this in your hearts, minds and souls and live from this place.
Finally, in reading Ephesians chapter 2, you not only see what happens in salvation, but you also know the character of God. We see God’s love but not only his love but how God loves (his great love wherewith he loved us). We also know that we have an incredibly compassionate God, (But God, who is rich in mercy). Let’s be determined to receive God’s grace and kindness towards us.
Father in Heaven, most Holy one you are. You are matchless and Highly exalted, and we thank you for life. Father, thank you for loving us with your perfect love. Your love never gives up on us, your love runs deep and wide, and we say thank you. Father, if anyone is reading this letter and wants to give their life to you, Father, I ask that as they pray and ask for forgiveness and believe in your son Jesus Christ. They will never forget that they are eternally made alive, raised together, and seated together in Christ Jesus. God, thank you for answering our prayer, and may we have a more profound revelation of who you are so that we can receive all that you wish to give us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer of Salvation
God, you said in your word that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Father, I am standing with everyone that prays this prayer, and God guide them and lead them even the more in Jesus’ name. Amen.
