There are people still today that BELIEVE that to be acceptable to God, you have to do some good deed and follow all of the laws. I am not saying that you don’t follow the commandments of God, but I am saying that there will be times when we make mistakes. The problem seems to be instead of people believing that God loves them right in their error, they often chose to wallow in guilt. This type of thinking makes me sad. The reason this type of thinking makes me sad is because of what the scriptures say “as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” As I share my heart in this letter, It is my prayer that you begin to understand the grace and love of God.
This letter I am writing to you today comes from my reading of Romans, chapter 10. Romans, chapter 10, speaks of the desire to have Israel saved. The reason for the desire is because although they love God, they had a lack of real knowledge. In Romans chapter 10, verses 1-4 reads:
Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire, and my prayer to God for Israel is for their salvation. 2 For I testify about them that they have a certain enthusiasm for God, but not in accordance with [correct and vital] knowledge [about Him and His purposes]. 3 For not knowing about God’s righteousness [which is based on Faith], and seeking to establish their own [righteousness based on works], they did not submit to God’s righteousness. 4 For Christ is the end of the law [it leads to Him and its purpose is fulfilled in Him], for [granting] righteousness to everyone who believes [in Him as Savior]. (AMP)
To even submit to God’s righteousness, you have to get out of your way. You have to allow God to change you, and this is done not by your performance but by God’s hand and God’s grace. Some people believe they are righteous because they do the right things, and that is not the Gospel or Good news. The Good news is this Jesus died for our sins and was raised by God from the dead and everyone who BELIEVES that God raised Jesus from the dead and confesses this truth SHALL be saved. What I am trying to say to you to is this the moment you choose to BELIEVE God raised Jesus from the dead, you receive salvation. Also, God makes you right you do not make yourself right. What happens when a person believes something, they act on it or speak on it. For example, if three job openings are posted on a site, but you choose to apply for only one position. Why did you choose only one position instead of all three? Could it be that you BELIEVE that you were qualified for that particular position only, or Could it be you BELIEVE you have what it takes to get hired for the job? What you believe you speak. What you believe produces Faith.
The power of BELIEF produces the power of Faith, not the power of works. I know we recite the scripture that states, “Faith without works is dead,” and yes, this is true, but for there to be Faith to produce work, you have to BELIEVE in something that will produce the Faith.
My question to you is, what are you believing? These next scriptures I am about to give are so powerful, but people have a hard time just believing that God wants to be good to them and that his word is real and is powerful. As I write these scriptures, I want you to believe it and expect God to move on whatever you believe. Romans 10:11-13 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved.” (AMP)
Now, You must know that there are over 600 laws, and there is no one on this earth keeping all of the LAWS and if someone is telling you that I am here to tell you that they are not telling you the truth. The laws were meant to lead people to Christ in discovering that there was no way possible that we could fulfill all the requirements only Christ could do it. That is why it says in the bible in Matthew Chapter 5:17, “Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the [f]Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Jesus came to fulfill the law because no one could fulfill the laws that God had given Moses. May I suggest you allow God to change you day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute. Please, as God changes your life, you will desire to please him, not your flesh. Allow Gods love to perfect you and be honest with him about your feelings towards others, life, and where you are, and he will embrace everything you have shared and transform your very life because that’s what he does and who he is — a good God.
Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, my lord, and savior, I ask that you dispel every lie that was spoken over us and about us in the earth. I pray that you give every reader the right knowledge of who you are and your true love. God, we wait in expectation of your answers, your deliverance, and your power over our lives. Father, forgive us for all of our sins in ignorance and knowledge. God, we desire for you to be kind to us and help us to receive all the goodness that you want to give to us. Father God show us the areas were you are not pleased and make us pleasing to you, oh God, for we now know that it’s not us that makes ourselves pleasing to you it is you who makes us right. We sit on the wheel and allow the Potter to mold us and make us as you desire, and we yield to you in every area of our lives. Thank you for hearing our prayers, and most of all, thank you for answering them this I ask in Jesus name. Amen.
