A Letter to a Father about Government

Before I begin this letter, you should know the importance of the Government. The Government is so powerful that it is influencing your life in such a way that it is imperative that you take notice. The first thing you must realize is this, the Government creates the laws, and the laws govern the people and the people create the culture based off of the laws that were created by the Government. Can you see it now? I must admit this letter that I am writing to you came to me at such a confusing point in my life. It was a time of conflicting thoughts and not feeling good enough and just feeling like God, where are you? The answer I received was the Government. As I begin to read and pay attention to the environment that surrounded me and the things and people I had around me, I knew I needed a change. There was nothing wrong with the people around me, but my mindset changed. I begin to understand the power of Government.
There is a particular verse that comes to mind; found in the book of Isaiah. “For unto us a child is born, unto us, a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6) If any of you that are reading this letter was just like me. A person who grew up in the church, and you would hear the message of Jesus returning to get the saints and going to heaven but often wonder what am I to do before I go to heaven? Is there more? Yes, we all want to go to heaven and to say that I am thankful for Jesus giving his life for me is an understatement there are no words even to conjure up to explain the gratefulness of the love of Jesus Christ, but I would like to focus on what happened after that. Didn’t Jesus get up? Why did he get up? What am I supposed to be doing? I feel like I’m way behind the ball. I should have finished school at this age; I should have gotten married by this age? I should be further in life than this. These were the thoughts going through my mind at the time, and these thoughts try to resurface today. I’m telling you this because I want you to see that the questions you may be having about your life right now the answer is Government.
I prayed for wisdom, and the answer was Government. You see the Government that was on Jesus’ shoulder was you and I. The entire purpose of God was to bring his Government through the Holy Spirit to earth. Unlike the crucifixion of Jesus, the Holy Spirit isn’t often adequately explained so that we could fully understand the importance of this person. The Holy Spirit is not some feeling that we Pentecostal believers get that makes you run, jump, and holler. No, I am telling you that is not who the Holy Spirit is. Yes, it may move you to express yourself emotionally no that is NOT who the Holy Spirit is.
The Holy Spirit acts as the Governor of the Kingdom of God, and we operate as the Government obeying the instructions and guidance of the Governor. The Holy Spirit is God extending himself to humanity. Jesus would always pray to the Father, and after they had this communion or communication with each other, often in private, Jesus would tell us what the Father would say to him. It was clear and open dialect with the Father. Allow me to explain further with these three verses.
The first verse, “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.” (John 12:49) Jesus was telling the people that when he speaks it’s not his words, they are Gods words. This verse is so powerful, but I have to move forward so that you would understand. The next verse, “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” (John 5:19) In this particular verse, Jesus was saying I ONLY do what I see my Father do. I can’t do anything on my own. The Final verse I would like to point your attention to reads; “Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” (John 8:28) Jesus was saying you will know that I am the Son of God and you will also see and understand that the information I am telling you is not from me it is from my Father, and he is with me. What we have learned is this Jesus didn’t speak anything the Father didn’t tell him to speak. Jesus didn’t do what he wanted to do he did what he saw The Father-God do. I want you to get this revelation after the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to us.
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another [a]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you. “I will not leave you as orphans [comfortless, bereaved, and helpless]; I will come [back] to you. After a little while, the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. On that day [when that time comes] you will know for yourselves that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. The person who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me, and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him [I will make Myself real to him].” Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, what has happened that You are going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?” Jesus answered, “If anyone [really] loves Me, he will keep My word (teaching); and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling place with him. One who does not [really] love Me does not keep My words. And the word (teaching) which you hear is not Mine, but is the Fathers who sent Me. “I have told you these things while I am still with you. But the [b]Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.” (John 14:16-25) Amp
The above scriptures inform us of the character, nature, and role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. The Holy Spirit is identified as the Spirit of Truth and the one who will teach us ALL things. This knowledge of the Holy Spirit is potent, but I want you to see the similarity between Jesus and The Holy Spirit. Jesus didn’t speak of his initiative, Jesus spoke what Father-God told him, never in opposition to what God the Father would speak. Likewise, the Holy Spirit does not speak of his initiative but in agreement with God, the Father, and the Son.
“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear [to hear] them now. But when He, the Spirit of Truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth [full and complete truth]. For He will not speak on His own initiative, but He will speak whatever He hears [from the Father—the message regarding the Son], and He will disclose to you what is to come [in the future]. He will glorify and honor Me, because He (the Holy Spirit) will take from what is Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Because of this I said that He [the Spirit] will take from what is Mine and will reveal it to you.” (John 16:12-15)
I want to enlighten you on the matter that just like Jesus Christ didn’t speak on his initiative, the Holy Spirit (Governor) is not speaking on his action. The Holy Spirit is trying to tell us what the Father and the Son want us to know. The Holy Spirit is telling us you lost connection with the Father when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. The Holy Spirit also wants us to see that he is the direct line to hearing the plan of the Father for your life. “For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) The answers to my questions of what am I supposed to be doing was listening to the Governor (Holy Spirit) for instructions if I want to know ALL truths about me. The fact is you are the total of what you believe. The truth of every decision that you have made in your life is because you believed something. You see, even an atheist BELIEVES that there is no God, so the decision not to BELIEVE is based on a belief.
God is extending himself through the Holy Spirit to inform us that if you want to know your real purpose in life listen to the Governor (Holy Spirit) and follow the leading of the Governor (Holy Spirit). Here is a bonus as you listen to the Holy Spirit and obey the instructions that the Holy Spirit gives you, you will create a culture that reflects the Kingdom of God.
As I was learning these truths, my questions turned into prayers. Prayers like God give me wisdom in every area of my life. God, I had these ideas of what my life would look like, but I know you are my very present help. I don’t feel right, but you are more prominent than anything that I am feeling. God, I don’t know anything empty my ignorant way of thinking and fill me with your wisdom and your mind.
Now I would like to tell you that my circumstances instantly got better, they didn’t, but what I can tell you what did get better and that was my mind and my perspective. I mean entirely changed my view. I want to share a list of the thoughts that came to mind.

  1. People want solutions to their problems just like you, so why not solve the ones you can, even if it’s not your problem.
  2. All humanity desires to have control over their life circumstances
  3. You are what you believe
  4. All of the life answers are in the Constitution (Bible) and the Holy Spirit will instruct you how to find them
  5. If you ever forget your rights, The Governor (Holy Spirit) will lead you to the Constitution (Bible).
You must know this; the Father wants to communicate with his children. The Father wants to love on us, lead us, guide us, and correct us just as our earthly fathers. The Father wants us to know everything that we lost, but he also wants us to recover everything through the Holy Spirit.

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I asked that you will give all the people reading this letter a new mindset in the area that they are lacking. God, we know that you are our very present help. God, you see the heart of every single person reading this letter, and I ask that you bless them. God, we know that you are more significant than any circumstance or situation that we may be facing and we cast all of our hurt, pain, anxiety, depression or whatever it may be at your feet. God give us the oil of joy for the spirit of heaviness and a garment of praise. God give every reader the revelation of the Holy Spirit.
