A Letter to a Father about knowing your Identity in Christ

As I write this letter to you, it is my prayer that you have ears to hear and a heart to receive what I am about to share with you. I pray that as I write that the Holy Spirit would speak with so much revelation that your very soul leaps and desires the profound things of God.
I write to you today because I know if you are anything like me, yeah we go to bible study and church, and yeah we hear messages, but you want answers. You want to know how to live this life as a believer in a practical way. That was my prayer until I got the revelation of my identity in Christ.
The thing that you must know is found in 2 Corinthians 5:17. (AMP) “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”
There are some Christians that don’t believe that they are a new creation. The moment you decided to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior you became a new creation and I am telling you that you must believe this. The reason you must believe this is because once you’ve confessed that Jesus is your Lord and Savior, you give him authority to put you under his protection and guidance. In the book of John chapter 10 verse 14, it reads: (AMP) “I am the Good Shepherd, and I know [without any doubt those who are] my own and my own know me [and have a deep, personal relationship with me].”
Another thing you must know that everything that God has promised is made available to you once you become a born-again Christian. Also, your acceptance of Christ being over your life unlocks all of the provision and protection that is made available to us by God. One of the protections and provisions of God can be found in Psalms chapter 23.

You are so important to God; God cares about any and everything that concerns you. God considers you a masterpiece and a beautiful work of art that he created to have a good and prosperous life. Allow me to show you what I am referring to when I say that you are a masterpiece.
In Ephesians chapter 2 verse 10 it reads. (AMP) “For we are His workmanship [His own masterwork, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].” God has this life for you that he has already predestined you to fulfill and you will get there. I just need for you to believe and trust God in every aspect of your life. It is imperative that you know who you are in Christ.
Now that you are a believer you must trust God fully. It is very important that you never let go of your faith and know God is with you.
In Hebrews chapter 4 verse 14 it reads: “Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith and cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Him as Savior].” (AMP)
You see in this world that we live in, people may shut you out or disqualify you because of your behavior or whatever reason but God qualifies you. God will use that same behavior or thing that you believed disqualified you from receiving God’s grace and turn that very thing around and establish you. Allow me to show you this as well. (AMP) “After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace [Who imparts His blessing and favor], who called you to His own eternal glory in Christ, will Himself complete, confirm, strengthen, and establish you [making you what you ought to be].”( 1 Peter 5:10) What I wish above all that you understand is that yes you may miss the mark sometimes but where sin abounds grace abounds even the more, and you can find that in the book of Romans chapter 5 verse 20.
If I could only just show you, that yes the world sees you, but God sees you in Christ. When God looks at you, he sees his son Jesus because you are wrapped in his love, and all of your sins washed away by his blood years ago. Stop focusing on what you did wrong and ask God to show you how he sees you. It will blow your mind. I wish above all that you would fully embrace the grace that God gave to you just by accepting his son Jesus as Lord of your life. You know when you begin to embrace grace you become humble and meek. The Holy Spirit will be able to freely develop your character and mature in such a way you never thought possible. When you trust in God, he begins to reveal the things that he has placed inside of you that you never knew existed and you become this bold ambassador for Christ.
In the book of Psalm chapter 139 verses, 13-14 reads: (AMP) “For You formed my innermost parts; you knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks and praise to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are your works, and my soul knows it very well.” I want you to be so free from people and their opinions of you. I want you to become the Father that God predestined you to be. You can achieve this when you are in Christ. Please know that you are royalty and that you are wonderfully made in the image of Christ.
Finally, the reason I chose to use the amplified (AMP) version of the bible in this letter is that I want everything to be so clear to you. It is critical that you understand who you are. There are many verses in the bible that I could include in this letter to you but if I did this letter would be a book. Can you imagine that? A book about God’s grace toward you. A book about how to practically live this life of freedom in Christ. Well, there is one, and it is called the word of God (Holy Bible). Grab hold of grace and walk into your new found identity in Christ Jesus.
