A Letter to a Father about the Kingdom of God

The first thing you must know is that the Kingdom of God is not a religion. The Kingdom of God is a heavenly government. The Kingdom of God operates on laws just as the government on earth operates on laws. The way that the Kingdom of God or the government of God manifest itself is through culture and laws.
According to Matthew chapter 6 verses, 9-13 Jesus teaches us what to pray for, and it reads. “This, then, is how you should pray: “Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be your name, your Kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us today our daily bread.” “And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
What I want to draw your attention to is the part of the prayer that says, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Have you ever considered that God wants his Kingdom on earth? This prayer lets me know that God wants his culture here on earth. Gods plan is to have his children dominate the earth. God wants to colonize earth to look just like the Kingdom of Heaven. God’s ultimate plan is to fill the earth with his glory or his culture. God plan was never to fill the earth with religion.
What do I mean when I say colonize? If you are reading this and are from a country who has experienced colonization, then you know what I am referring to when I used the word colonize. Colonization is when the King sends someone from their Kingdom to the foreign country to change the culture to reflect that of the Kingdom. They influence the country to use their language, style of dress, currency, food, and teach their history to the people. Well, God wants the people, and it doesn’t matter your race, sex, or whether you’ve experienced colonization or not. God wants everyone to know his Kingdom. God wants to introduce you to his Kingdom. In God’s Kingdom, his currency is love; his food is the word of God.
Allow me to go further about the currency of love and the food being the word of God. In the book of Matthew, chapter 22, verses 36-40, the religious people were questioning Jesus about what is the greatest commandment. “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind; this is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself; All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” If the Kingdom of God operates on laws and all the laws, hang on love the Lord with everything and loving your neighbor as yourself, then what keeps the Kingdom flowing? Love keeps the Kingdom of God flowing. Therefore love is the currency, not money.
Give us today our daily bread. When we pray for our daily bread, we are asking for the necessities of food and water to nourish our body to give us fuel to complete our day. In the Kingdom of God, the word of God, the bible, or just hearing from God through prayer is spiritual food. In essence, the word of God feeds our spirit. I want to leave you with this particular verse that informs us that we not only need food to nourish our bodies, but we also need to feed our spirit the word of God. In the book of Matthew Chapter 4 verses 1-4, Jesus was tested in the wilderness by the devil after fasting for 40 days and 40 nights. In this particular verse, the devil wanted Jesus to prove that he was the Son of God by turning stones into bread, but I want you to pay attention to Jesus response, and it reads. “It is written: Man shall not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” In other words, you need to feed your physical body as well as the spiritual body with the word of God. In the Kingdom of God, your physical needs are met and your spiritual needs.
I have to let you in on a little secret, and that is the Kingdom of God has always been under attack by religious people not sinners or unbelievers but spiritual people. If you read the book of Matthew chapters 22-26, you will see it was the religious people questioning Jesus, and it also was the religious people plotting against him. What does this tell me? This says to me that the Kingdom of God exposes the true nature of religion and causes conflict. Another thing you must know is that traditions fight the Kingdom of God and religion considers itself more important than God and the Kingdom. Allow me to explain further. In the book of Matthew, chapter 15, verses 1-11, it reads. “Then some Pharisees and teachers of the Law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!” Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? For God said, Honor your father and mother and anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death, but you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is devoted to God, they are not to honor their father or mother with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you, these people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.” Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth that is what defiles them.”
Another thing I would like for you to know, and that is in the Kingdom of God, you don’t have to worry about terrorism because the Kingdom of God is in Heaven. Also, you don’t have to protect the Kingdom of God because it protects you. You don’t have to join any army because you have an army, you have angels to protect you. Have you ever wondered why is it that God sends his angels to protect us, but here on earth, we fight to defend our leader?
When the Kingdom of God impacts a city, there is joy and happiness because it solves problems. Also, the Kingdom of God must be preached to the poor because they help the government by encouraging the poor, making them no longer a debt to society. It solves social problems the Kingdom makes you responsible for your destiny. For example, Blind Bartimaeus was a beggar but one touch from God he was no longer a beggar. (Mark 10:46-52) There are many instances in the bible where the Kingdom of God impacts a city; the woman with the issue of blood was spending all her money but still no relief until Jesus. The man at the pool of Bethesda for 38 years problem was solved with one encounter. Jesus turning water into wine at the wedding are just a few examples of the Kingdom of God solving problems.
The purpose of your life is something that you must understand. As Fathers and as the foundation of your family, and that is, you were created to dominate the earth. The Kingdom of God dominates the environment of earth. Wherever evil is reigning, it is because religion is present, not the Kingdom of God because the Kingdom of God discriminates against sin. The Kingdom attracts those who are seeking power. Power over evil and poverty and the ability to dominate the earth and not people. You also must know that God will always guide you to impact not impose.
Finally, you must know that religion can be destroyed or stopped, but the Kingdom of God cannot it is everlasting. Have you ever considered that some religions could be practiced in one country but not in others? You can never stop the Kingdom of God because it is a way of life, not a religion. Allow me to enlighten you on this in the book of Isaiah, chapter 9 verses 6-7 it reads. “For to us, a child is born, to us, a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.” “And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace, there will be no end.” In other words, you can never stop the Kingdom of God.
It is Gods desire to fill the earth with the culture of his Kingdom. It is also God’s desire for you to dominate the earth. Dominating the earth and filling the earth with the culture of God is your real purpose in life, and you can no longer sit on the sideline. I challenge you to seek God in such a way that you begin to dominate the earth and lead your family into a new way of life.
